There is a wide selection of borehole pumps. And it is necessary to clearly understand the fundamental difference between different systems in order to choose the optimal option for your needs.

What are deep well pumps and what are their features?

Deep well pumps are a type of submersible centrifugal pumps of single and multistage construction, which can be submerged to great depths. They are usually designed to be placed in narrow wells - boreholes, which are drilled to extract water from groundwater or aquifers.

Depending on the size of the well, as well as the required power and pressure, the necessary pump is selected.

Deep well pumps are usually longer than standard pumps of equivalent power. This is due to the need to compensate for the narrow space in which they can be installed.

Submersible motors are filled with water or (non-toxic) oil, cooled to lubricate the bearings with sealing through mechanical sealing. The cable exits the motor through a cable seal.

The cable is made according to the depth of the well. The cables must have characteristics that provide sufficient power for the motor.

What are the systems of well pumps and their application

Well pump crane. This is the simplest system. Water is pumped directly from underground groundwater into pipelines for outdoor garden faucets. Such pumps are suitable for watering the garden and homesteads.

Borehole pump for irrigation. This system is similar to the previous one. In this case, water is supplied to the irrigation system. The irrigation controller is programmed to supply power to the well pump as soon as one of the irrigation zones is activated. This system can also function as a manual irrigation system that simply connects to outdoor garden faucets. So, as soon as you turn on the faucet, it will send water to your irrigation system.

A well pump for a tank. This type uses one or more tanks to store water from a well. In this way, the borehole pump directs the water directly into the tanks, where the water is stored until it is needed for irrigation or other purposes. A booster pump is connected to supply water from the tanks. This booster pump takes water from the tanks and pumps it to the irrigation main or wherever the customer needs it.

Borehole pump to the house. This system requires additional infrastructure. Additional installation of a number of filters is required so that the water enters the house purified.
