FAQ: Double Suction Split-Case Pumps
The primary advantage is the hydraulic axial balance of the impeller. Since fluid enters from both sides, axial thrust is virtually eliminated, which significantly reduces the load on the bearings and extends the operational lifespan of the unit. Additionally, these pumps offer superior suction performance and a lower NPSH requirement.
Double suction pumps (often referred to as D-series) are indispensable for high-flow applications. They are widely used in municipal water supply networks, industrial cooling systems, large-scale irrigation, power plant circulation, and high-capacity fire protection systems.
Yes. Depending on the liquid's properties, we can provide the wet-end components in cast iron, ductile iron, or stainless steel. We also offer a choice between traditional gland packing or modern mechanical seals to meet specific industrial requirements.
Ekvives offers a comprehensive engineering approach: expert selection based on your specific duty point, full technical documentation, and an official warranty. We focus on high-efficiency solutions that significantly lower energy consumption and maintenance costs for large-scale water systems.
