The primary difference is the cooling system and the degree of protection. A4 series motors have an IP23 protection rating (open-type) and are cooled by ambient air. DAZO4 series motors are fully enclosed (IP44/IP54) and equipped with a top-mounted air-to-air heat exchanger, making them suitable for dusty and harsh outdoor environments.
These medium and high-voltage motors are designed to operate on AC networks with voltages of 6000V (6 kV) or 10000V (10 kV). They are used in large-scale industrial plants to drive heavy machinery that does not require variable frequency speed control.
