The open-frame type is suitable for installation inside specially equipped indoor machine rooms with proper ventilation. Canopy-protected generators are designed for outdoor installation; the enclosure protects against rain and dust while significantly reducing noise levels, making them ideal for residential and office areas.
The standard maintenance interval for stationary diesel plants is every 250–500 operating hours, or at least once a year. Regular oil and filter changes, along with coolant checks, ensure that the generator will start reliably in a critical moment.
